Targeted Help

Best for students who:

  • Got a C or B but just missed their target grade

  • Understand most topics but need help with specific areas

  • Want to maximise marks in weaker topics (e.g. mechanisms, redox, calculations)

  • Are retaking for university entry and need a one-grade boost

Suggested path:
Review your notes and reflect on which topics caused problems in the exam. Make a focused list of modules to target. Choose only the ones where structured support will help you secure those extra marks.

Full Reteach

Best for students who:

  • Got a U, E, or D in their first attempt

  • Felt lost in lessons or missed large chunks of the course

  • Want to rebuild confidence from the ground up

  • Aren’t sure where the gaps are and need a structured approach

Suggested path:
Start from Module 1 and aim to work through all modules before the exam. Use the frequency calculator to figure out how often you’ll need to book lessons to stay on track.

Plan Your Pathway - Reteach or Refocus?

Everyone’s resit situation is different. Some students need to reteach the entire course, and may want to sign up for traditional tutoring, while others only need to target their weakest topics. You’re in control of how many modules to buy — whether that’s just one to plug a specific gap, or a full set to start from scratch.

In the UK, A-Level Chemistry resits require you to retake all exam papers for that exam board — even if you only struggled with part of the content. That’s why it’s important to review your performance carefully and focus your preparation where it matters most.

If you’re unsure, you can book a free 30-minute consultation and we’ll talk it through together and arrange a free trial lesson.
