Terms and Conditions
Please make sure you understand the following before purchasing or booking any modules. These terms are here to ensure clarity and fairness for all students.
1. Introduction
1.1 Overview
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of A-Level Chemistry tutoring services offered by Take Two Chemistry through its website.
1.2 Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing any tutoring module or lesson, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Lessons and Modules
2.1 One-to-One Tutoring
All lessons are delivered one-to-one via Microsoft Teams. Students must have a functioning webcam for lessons. A downward-facing camera is helpful for showing written work but is not essential.
2.2 Module Structure
Each module contains a fixed number of lessons, as stated at the time of purchase. Modules vary in length depending on the topic and complexity, and may consist of between 2 and 7 sessions.
2.3 Bespoke Lessons
Bespoke (non-module) lessons are available in the form of traditional tutoring. The student can specify roughly the intended content at the time of purchase. Alternatively lessons can be planned after consultation to ensure you get the most from the time available. Bespoke lessons are charged at a higher rate due to the additional preparation required.
3. Booking and Scheduling
3.1 Booking Process
After purchasing a module or bespoke lesson, students will receive a link to the Acuity Scheduling system to book their sessions.
3.2 Lesson Frequency
Students may book lessons as frequently as they wish (subject to the booking limits in 3.3). A frequency calculator is provided on the website to help plan a realistic schedule based on the number of modules and time until the exam.
3.3 Booking Limitations
-
Students may book a maximum of one hour lesson per day.
-
Lessons must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
-
Rescheduling must also be done with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.
-
Bookings cannot be made less than 24 hours before the lesson time.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
4.1 Student Cancellations
Students who cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice will forfeit that session. No refunds or rescheduling will be offered for late cancellations or no-shows.
4.2 Tutor Cancellations
In the unlikely event I need to cancel a lesson, the student will be offered an alternative time or a full refund for that session.
4.3 Refunds
Refunds may be granted for entire unused modules, provided that no lessons have yet taken place. Once the first lesson of a module has been completed, the entire module becomes non-refundable, as the student will have received access to all worksheets and materials for that module.
No refunds will be issued for individual unused lessons within a partially completed module.
All bespoke lessons are fully refundable as long as cancelled with no later than 24 hours' before the lesson was scheduled.
5. Payments and Pricing
5.1 Hourly Rate
-
Module lessons are charged at a flat rate of £40 per hour.
-
Bespoke lessons are charged at £50 per session.
5.2 Discounts
Students spending £300 or more in a single transaction will automatically receive a 10% discount at checkout.
